No, I'm just pointing out what I see, the reason you think I have a hatred of Sony is because you prefer Sony and don't like me saying anything that can be construed as negative.
People don't largely care about the quality of build of the systems, as long as it works and delivers what they want at a price they can afford.
As with anything, if two products are similar enough, the product that gives you more for the price is bought, right now its the PS3, the 360 lacks some of the features of the PS3 and since they are at price Parity, the PS3 is leading, however if you look at it objectively, you see this, one that we have already seen evidence of demand increasing for the 360 at lower costs, two, that Sony is losing money on each PS3 and MS is making money on the 360, and finally that MS can price cut to a greater degree than Sony can.
Now you can dispute all you want, but the facts are clear a lower priced 360 will see its sales rise, and the evidence shows a large rise, likely enough to overtake the PS3 in weekly sales, in addition MS can afford this price cut more than Sony can, as MS is currently profitable as is their gaming, Sony is not profitable, and neither is their gaming division.
It is in MS's best interest to cut, and then, force Sony into a financial bind.
