devs get around the whole memory issuing by ofloading alot of the work through the spu's, does not anyone do their research here, and if it is severely lacking in memory please explain why ps3 has been producing better games since uncharted 1 was released, and the xbox has still not outdone that never mind uncharted 2, killzone 2, and next to come is god of war 3. |
Uhh?
Better-looking games come out as time progresses because developers get a better grip on the platform, that's just how life works. That's especially true for the PS3, given that it's so different arcitechturally from anything else.
However, a PC with a 70$ dual-core CPU and a 100-130$ GPU outdoes the PS3 by a lot in 2009 - and we're still many years away from the launches of the aforementioned consoles. High-end video cards today can run games well over 1080p at 60 fps with more impressive visuals than present console games, which are typically 30 fps at 720p.
And this gap will only increase with time, as technology moves at a blistering pace.
So, what makes you think the PS3's technology will be relevant till 2016?
