You have to get a special adaptor to transfer saves, but I think it is only PS2 to PS3

Get a slim, and use the money to buy Uncharted 2!!!

It makes your PS2 games look way better on an HDTV. I think it only works on the PS2 slim model.

You could probably find it cheaper at ebay. It's only from PS2 to PS3. No PS3 to PS2 unless they've updated it or something.

Sell it, but try to get $500 out of it. Still though, $450 is a nice deal.
