Easy. I'd say do it. $300 for a newer PS3 which is less likely to YLOD than the old BC model, plus $100 for a PS2 still puts you $50 ahead.

@perpride- lol it was sort of an exclusive deal, i know a games seller whos not gamestop around here, its local and he wanted it for the BC exclusively, even if it is emulation.

  @Joelcool7- well said, same with garnett i agree, clarity has come knowing it'll be one-of-a-kind in the end. as for the wii, i do plan on getting one, wont like, but the wiis exclusives are pitiful compared to that of the PS3 imo, no SCIV, no T6, no untold legends, no folklore, no valkyria chronicles, no DW6: Empires and so on and so forth... however there are some games on wii i want like another M and crystal bearers so i will get a wii for a couple games and there on, like i did with 360, even if its just a few games i want its worth getting the system, thats my style.

It makes your PS2 games look way better on an HDTV. I think it only works on the PS2 slim model.
