Forums - Gaming - Super Mario Galaxy Leaked!

Just for the record. If you have a modded Wii and you want to get a jump start on everyone else...I have to say that its not my style but I don't blame you for wanting to play the game. But when the game comes out, go buy the damn thing. Don't be a leach on the industry and instead actually show that you support companies that make good quality games for gamers. To do otherwise only supports the shovelware factories.

@shams,

There are definitely a lot of options they could have gone with to stop the thing from getting stolen.  Of course it is possible they wanted this to happen, but I am having a hard time seeing the percentage in this for Nintendo or SMG.

Gonna rent it from gamefly and do the "keep it" pricing and use my $5 off coupon. :) Hopefully get it down to under $35 bucks for a 'brand new' used one. :D

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

GAMEFLY & GOOZEX FTW

I will hunt down and kill anyone who plays the pirated version without buying a copy.

No need, the amt of people who download it will be under 10k and this game is going to sell a kabijillion copies anyway!  I mean, I won't be buying it cuz I don't have a Wii, but I'm sure that millions of other people will be purchasing it.

I have checked about on various "nefarious" sites who do this type of stuff, and it seems that this is indeed a full version and the issue causing it not to work with existing mod chips as already been solved for at least 2 brands of mod chips. I just hope these folks pay for a legit copy when the game comes out.../sigh

This doesn't surprise me one bit. People have been snaking games for a long time on PC (anyone else here remember the HL2 myg0t fiasco?).

It sucks obviously because it hurts sales and in some cases causes great developers to take major hits. Obviously it won't hurt Nintendo anywhere near as much as a smaller development team distributing on computer.

But nothing can really be said that hasn't been said since the Code of Hammurabi: thieves suck.

My guess is at least some of these people will be tracked down and have a suit filed against them. While this kind of thing makes the news, the aftermath almost never does.

At least with the code of Hammurabi the people who stole it got their hands chopped off.
