Forums - Nintendo - You need to pick up Phantom Hourglass

I have been playing Zelda PH since it came out off and on and this has got to be one of the best games on the DS to date.  The boss battle are incredible, I just finished beating the enormous wooden one, which was just amazing to play. The Ice boss was also incredible.  This game uses every possible feature that the DS has to offer and almost to perfection.  I have had so much fun playing this game.  If you do not have this game and are on the fence, GET IT. Even if you have never played a Zelda game, this is worth it just for it pure enjoyment and clever use of the DS.  The controls are great, the story is great, the graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is just plain incredible.  Well, just thought I would throw that out for anyone who cares.

^I almost broke my screen, because I kept pressing my finger on the screen.

I was stuck on that for a while.

Indeed, that puzzle was incredible. Overall, best Zelda ever for me. Really innovative, fresh and awesome.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

Beat it, was a great game. Yesterday I got the last Heart Container, but I'm still missing 5 of the Gems.

One of the best games on the DS for sure, and a great entry to Zelda games for newcomers. It's not the best Zelda game though. I wouldn't even say too short... too small is maybe the right word. I wanted more sidequests, bigger towns, a more epic atmosphere. It's also a bit too traditional for my liking... Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess dared to stray from the formula much more.

That's criticism on the highest possible level, though - it's still a fantastic game, and it's taylor made to the DS.
