To me God of War 2 is the game which has gotten closest to the Indiana Jones feel, supposedly Uncharted 2 has toppled this but I'd like to see God of War 3 reclaim the crown.

solemnly based on this desire I say that GoW3 will slightly outperforming U2.

Now if only I could play the game. :(

First Week = God of War 3

Ltd = Uncharted 2

GOW3 in the end will sell more but it has a quite a bit of competition from FFXIII and quite possibly GT5

Well, how much has the previous God of War games sold?

I don't know how some of you can figure that a game as violent and bloody as GoW3 can outsell a more family oriented game like UC2 o_O; It might be able to beat UC2 week 1 or month 1, but life time is probably not gonna fly.

The previous GOW games didn't sell too well but a lot of PS3 owners had that game...how you ask? Piracy my friend. That was the time when the PS2 was at its peak in piracy. I'm sure that GOW3 will outsell both games by a significant margin.

As for Uncharted 2, GOW3 will definitely sell more in its first week...I'm guessing somewhere between 1-1.2 million and end with 4 million LTD...Uncharted 2 will probably have sales of 2.4 million by the time GOW3 releases and end with 4-4.5 million LTD.

GOWIII is like Halo for PS3 owners in NA, it will have a first week of around 1.5m, life time it will probably be 4m

If the current preorder numbers are anything to go by I'd say GOW3 will have a bigger first week. If U2 ends up having similar legs to the first game then I'd say that it will edge out GOW3 slightly in LTD.

tough question, my head wants to believe that uncharted will do better in sales cause of its timing with the price drop and excellent reviews, but man dont underestimate god of war 3 i know the first two didnt sell massivly with a bigger install base, but for some reason gow3 is getting tons of attention even more so than uncharted leading up to its release, the collection was huge at my gamestop, and gow3 has 3 times as many pre orders as any other game in my store right now. i guess what im trying to say is that gow3 has a bigger consumer awareness thean uncharted had, the casual ps3 owners know about gow3 but mostly hardcore knew bout uncharted.

LTD: 4-5mill

uncharted LTD:3.5mil

GOW III will be release in the same month than FF XIII. So sales should be interesting.
