This was recently put up on IGN on their Mario coverage in celebration of New Super Mario Bros. Wii:
I must say it is very well written and very thoughtful. Reading over this brings up a lot of memories and its hard to not get emotional as you kinda recount your early video gaming moments. Not to mention playing through the game and reliving all those moments, it has actually kinda affected me a little bit. But all for the best. It's a good read and I suggest all Mario fans and old school gamers to give it a read.
