Failed to mention that reason these newer titles are released later than bluray and dvd because HD DVD are not region coded, therefore they may only be released same time as it is released internationally. They had officially stated the reason for the different release timing, but it's funny how information like these gets dropped and additional rumors and speculations get added in.

  I mentioned the region coding bit at the end of the OP. ;)
