Is this game supposed to control better than Battlefield 1943? I really didn't like the way that game controlled at all. Everything felt really clunky and awkward. I would like to have a Warhawkesque game for the 360 since I don't have my PS3 anymore and if they improved in that one area, I'd probably get a lot of life out of the online. It's a shame I don't have my PS3 because I'd be able to tell from this beta.

What do you mean by clunky and awkward? Can you strafe at light speeds? No. Can you sprint, jump, and hope to go left and right mid air? No.

I don't really see how that answers my question. Thanks for not trying though.

I mean, I don't understand what else you can possibly mean. This game isn't going to control like other games where you're like a feather and can just run around smoothly and defy physics. If you're going to ask a question, you should be more specific and define "clunky". Otherwise, you cannot blame me for guessing what you mean.

Get the beta on fileplanet.com
Playin the beta right now

The rifle, machine gun and sniper rifle had a ridiculous amount of ricochet after the shot, but the pistol was remarkably more accurate than you'd expect. There was a lot of bounce in your run, both in your view and in the movement of your weapons. I'm not sure of this, but I think the game might be running at 30 FPS or lower at times. It just felt that way in the 30 minute demo. The whole experience just didn't feel very smooth. Between the movement and the shooting, it just felt sloppily put together. I don't know if that's the intention of the franchise or if that is how they all are. That's why I asked.

Is there a difference in gameplay/control between 1943 and Bad Company 2, or is it exactly the same?

Looks awfully similar to the first one...I hope this gets better support than the first one they did horrible job with it, atleast the pc version has dedicated servers so I'll propably get the pc version if I ever want to buy this.

Ricochet? Recoil you mean?

I don't see how recoil even really matters in Sniping as the first sniper rifle you get requires you to get out of the scope after the first shot. For the second sniper you get later, I think it's good balance that there's more recoil and less accuracy in return for more rate of fire.

Listen, I hope you don't think I'm some weapons expert and I was arguing that the game was more realistic compared to real life. I'm strictly talking about BC2 vs BC1, and BC1 was ridiculous with its recoil and accuracy. Have you used the XM8 in BC1? It had nearly 0 recoil.

You also forget that we're going to get scopes and front grip accesories as we level up, and you probably didn't get all the weapons yet, so you can not judge that all the guns are going to be heavy on recoil.

I think it's a good thing that there's bouncing when you're running and moving with your weapon. You shouldn't be running and gunning, and sprinting should have a risk of disorientation and being less prepared to notice and react to dangers.

30 minute demo?

Also the FPS and glitchyness is something I've noticed too, but I came into the BETA not expecting everything to be smooth. It's not a fucking demo, and you shouldn't be feeling entitled to a smooth experience. You're volunteering your time to give feedback and report glitches, not playing a DEMO.

43 is a completely different gameplay. You should be comparing Bad Company 1 and 2. 43 has only three classes and has smaller maps (not counting the ocean as parts of the maps).

Sorry. Meant recoil. Just brain farting is all.

Recoil's a big deal in sniping if you happen to miss. I'm not the best sniper and there were only three weapons to choose from, so I had to go with it for a bit.

I just mean there's too much bouncing around for my tastes.

The demo for 1943 is a 30 minute timed demo because the game is online only.

I don't know why you're talking about the beta like I'm in it. My first post you replied to I explained I don't have a PS3 to play it on, which is why I'm asking these questions in the first place. I won't be able to play the beta, so I'm asking those in it what their experiences are of it thus far.

So since you just claimed 1943 is different, what other than maps and classes is different? I want to know the difference between the gameplay experience in 1943, and the experience of Bad Company 2.

Ahhh, my brain is farting right now too =P I'm kinda really jittery and feeling crappy right now, studying for a test, finishing a paper, and preparing materials for a meetings...

Gonna get 4 hours of sleep now XD XD
