Hey guys, this is KylieDogs partner (some of you know me).

A couple of you sending me invites and to save myself repeating it to all (not idea how many of you there are from here) I'll just post this here. He had an accident at work (he is fine) and is in hospital a day or so (not sure how long). If your sending invites and getting blanked or ignored you now you know why, I usually don't mind playing with 'his' pals but I'm kind of stressed from whats happened and I'm trying to just zone out in games on my own to pass time until I can visit him again.

I'll tell him I posted this and to let you know when he is back home.

Give him by best wishes =/ He's an awesome Engineer partner in Bad Company 2. We own everyone with me and him on a tank.

Did you see the Kill(er) cam of the person who did this to you Kylie ??

Glad to see you doing well.

Hey, I'm back. Healing like a goodun with glue sealing my leg shut. Sounds dodgy as hell right? Apparently stitches are outdated...

I'm out of work for a while so will probably be online a -lot- for the near future, providing my partner can pay the bills alone (this is questionable).

How the fuck did you get a rod in your leg? O.o

How deep did it go? Permanent damage?

Im not sure any longer wether Im gonna get this game or not after I read the criticism in this thread about it not being a 'true' battlefield game, and it's instead Battlefield 3 that is the game to get for us PC gamers.

After all it takes a big investment in time and energy to get familiar and skilled with a new online game.

It's a fun game, and it's not a sequel to Battlefield 2. This is Bad Company.

I find this beta alot more fun than the MAG beta, but still a little lacklustre. Maybe I've just been playing too many fps games.

I would agree with that. I'm still waiting on Battlefield 3 myself. Hopefully get some more 64 (maybe even more?) player battles going again while bringing back all the planes and other vehicles.

I'm interested in seeing how Bad Company 2 performs on PC if they then continue to use Frostbite for Battlefield 3.

A selection of defensive tactics tips for Arica Harbor Beta

When you play the beta, you will find that there are a multitude of different more or less effective tactics that you can use on Arica Harbor for both attackers and defenders.

If you look closely on the level features, and use your creativity with destruction, you will soon see the results of your battle plans.

Today, DICE leveldesigner Inge Jøran “Pirelli” Holberg, have picked a few tactics you could try to improve your success rate on the battlefield as a defender and to spur your own creativity on the field.

1st base

Near the border control gates, you will find that the ground on each side of the road allows you to place your tank in a dug in position that lowers your profile in the terrain, and adds protection for your tank from oncoming fire.

2nd base

Destroy just one hole in the crate house towards construction site, and get a great view on the objective where you can kill enemies that are rushing in, trying to set a charge. Don’t destroy more of the wall than you absolutely need..

3rd base

In order to get into this position unseen by enemy, one thing you could do is to use a military tactic called ”mouseholing”. To do this, destroy the wagon side walls close to where you spawn on the bridge, jump inside and start destroying walls only on the end of each wagon until you can see wagon containing the objective. This will create a relatively safe tunnel to the target that you are to protect.

Destroy the walls of the train wagons enough that you can get a strategic position inside the neighboring train wagon, overlooking the objective. Not only are you protected from mortar strikes, but you also have cover to protect you from oncoming swarms of enemies in there as some of the train's cargo is still intact.

4th base

As long as the plank stack is not destroyed, you can use the stack to jump up on the container, and have cover and a good overview of the objective.

5th base

Destroy the walls of the construction site towards the barracks (one steel plate and one brick wall). This will turn the barracks into a real nice strategic position where you can guard the objective on the second floor of the construction site as you now can see it from the barrack windows..

Have fun!!

Nice tactics there Akvod. I'll really keep that in mind the next time I play. I rarely pre-shoot out walls for later. I only ever destroy stuff to make an alternative route to where I want to go.
