I don't like this DLC shit coming out day 1 or a week later the games launch, if it's that close just pack on the disc and sell it to me like that, so as of right now I will wait for a game of year edition just like I did with fall out 3....if not such game of year edition comes out then I ain't buying it, here's hoping.

I think they are trying a new approach to stop piracy, and instead of using online only registration to play and things like this, they are rewarding people for purchasing the game by giving them these DLC's, some of which are free. If you want to download and use the toolkit you need to have purchased the game also.  I think it's a good way of getting people to purchase the game if they like it enough.

I just finished it!

Didn't do all the side quests or one of the DLCs... my epilogue save is 57 hours.

The game is so epic.

Man I want to finish it, but now that I just got my PS3, Little Big Planet, God of War collection, and bought Scribblenauts, Left for Dead2, and Halo ODST (for under $10!!), I have no clue when I'll get back to it.

Check out this thread :)

I finished it already. My first playthrough was 78 hours with a Human Warrior Noble

Yeah but some people like to talk about it too. Also, there have been such a wide range of 'hours to complete' for this game, and I doubt the validity of the '45 hours average' posted in that thread.

well 45 hours can be achieved if you rush through the main story without gathering all possible allies and without doing any side quests and premium content. But the question is, why would someone do such a thing for such an awesome game?

Then that would be more like a speed run/minimum time, not an average, you know? Speed runs can be fun, but they shouldn't contribute to an 'average'. Like Shadow Complex. I can speed run the game in 45 minutes (I know, Slow) but my first run-through was 14 hours (started on the hardest mode). So I do understand determining an average is no easy task.

You're absolutely right, but that was the info that Gilgamesh got for his thread. I guess if we do an average with the times in this thread, it will settle down at the 70 hours mark more or less.
