Will it perform well in Europe except UK?

I mean, if you look at the amazon websites you can see that it's been number 1 in France and Germany for a while, but not in the UK, with a couple of days left till launch.

I know Amazon is not a good reference for sales, but still. It's a curious situation.

Something's wrong with the forum (or my PC), so I can't embed images.

Here's what I'm talking about.

Your picture of Amazon Germany does not express what you want to show us. You've only chosen "Games: Wii". This list only contains, yeah, Wii stuff but not the whole video game section.

Actually in Amazon de (at least right now) it is only no. 3, with no. 1 being AC2 (for the PS3) and no. 2 the black Wii bundle...

My store seems to have stopped pre-orders in France... I think It will do better in most europeans countries than in UK first week (if you compare userbase).

NSMB isn't about first week sales, it'll do well, but first week sales aren't going to be representative of how well this game does in the long run



 

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Well first week I do expect it to do well but more or less just be the big holiday seller in Europe. Meaning in Japan and Americas it'll open well and perform well in the holiday season. For Europe I expect it to open well but not comparable to the other regions.

I mean Mario is definitely one of those games you don't have to worry about being "region specific". It has a very diverse userbase, more so than any other franchise.

  I think in the long run it'll sell in others about as well as in the states, but not in its first week
