The Beatles are still the biggest band in history, very few artist rank the same as the Beatles. Taylor Swift definitely does not.

You need to come up with a better argument to even compare The Beatles with Taylor Swift other then "they both play there own instuments and write there own music" (most artist do this already), and she is not the number 1 artist today, she is the number one Country singer yeh, but even if she was the number 1 artist today that still doesn't mean you can compare her to The Beatles. I'm sure at one point in time Kanye West was considered to be the number 1 artist, but can you even come close to comparing him to The Beatles, hell no.

The is so riduculous I feel like my heads going to explode.

She is too the #1 artist today. Name 1 artist that still makes music today that gets mainstream play thats bigger? it's a fact, her albums are outselling EVERYONE.

I would like for you to reply to my other points. Even if she is number one why does that mean you can compare her to The Beatles?

And theres no way she'll sell anywhere near what The Beatles sold for albums, her two albums combined sold over 10 million, that's not really impressive.

Rihanna doesn't sell huge amounts of albums. Only her pervious album crossed the 2.5 million mark. That's half of what Fearless sold in just 1 year.

Cause the Beatles were the huge stars of the time and shes todays huge star.

There was several people that hit number 1 and they didn't get anywhere near the beatles. Justin Timberlake, Eminem, 2Pac, Kanye West, 50 cent, Beyonce, Rihanna etc. They all hit number 1 and had albums that sold very well, and there still no where near the legendary level of The Beatles.

The only people you can compare The Beatles to is Michael Jackson and Elvis. That's it.

Cause she has just as much starpower as they did in the 60's

 

And Mariah. She has more #1's than Elvis. :)

More Starpower!? so you were around in the 60's to see how insane The Beatles was?

But yeh you make a decent point Mariah Carey is up there, but still no where near The Beatles. If the thread was Mariah Carey vs The Beatles then it'd be a decent competition, but some new country singer that just got famous is nothing to The Beatles.

Do you see how it is when people see her?

Try going to an AC DC concert, you wanna hear loud, thats a loud concert. I couldn't even hear myself screaming at the top of my lungs during it.

Do you have any idea how big Mariah is? She is one of the best voices VOCALLY of all time. I'm sure her range is tripple the Beatles and Elvis all screaming together.

I doubt someone whos raking in as much money as Taylor is, that they wouldn't  buy great speakers. lol She gets the royal treatment cause thats what she is,.

Yes, she has a good voice. What does that have to do with how big she is. She comes no where near Elvis.

I need to go to sleep, but I can't wait to read tomorrow more amazing achievements of Taylor that merit her to "be more important than the Beatles". I mean, damn, she crossed over to mainstream!! Maybe tomorrow when I wake up she'll have managed to be known in more than one country too, that would be amazing!

Well you are right.. But its your opinion that Mariah doesn't touch Elvis. It's obvious Taylors starpower is huge if she is selling so many albums

She is known in more than 1 country. She crossed  over like I said. Top 40/Mainstream rules the world.
