An official confirmation was not, but we know they certainly Cross-game chat is coming. Commenting on the official PlayStation Blog has confirmed that it is in development.
When asked if Sony would finally show it, James Thorpe responded as follows:
"I wish I could just give you a date, I really do! Trust me when I say that as soon as I hear from 'up top' I will be shouting about it and making myself the most popular person on the blog"
