Forums - Gaming - Can you believe these people?! (x-play related)

EDIT: That was rude, but at least I got it out of my system.

Also, thanks for bringing this to my attention allaboutthegames885, I have yet another reason to not watch X-play.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Thats because..The Anime was popular back then.

Without the Anime, the games wouldnt be shit.

But i love pokemon season 1-2. I would actually buy a Wii, if they remade them on the Wii.

Wait, what?

@Sc

Yes but the Anime helped the games, not that the Anime has been drug into the Dirt the games must sell own there own and with the negative influence of the Anime.

Just like Yugioh

You think a yugioh game with those stupid mortorcycles would sell as much as Yugioh did back in its prime? No sir.

Yes, the anime may have helped the games, but that wasn't your original argument was it? Anyway, lets get back on topic. Pokemon is still good, regardless, and there are many more series that deserve a spot on that list.

Anyone who knows the series knows that the games came before the anime.  I'd admit that it brought alot of momentum to the series but ultimately, it was a reaction to the initial success of the games.  You don't get an anime if your game wasn't popular to begin with.

On a slightly unrelated note, the reason series like Yu-Gi-Oh, Duel Masters, and Digimon fade into obscurity is because they're either following a trend or change far too much to maintain the appeal of its fanbase.  Pokemon's not going anyway, anytime soon because it maintains what its initial fans want while touching upon the formula oh so slightly.  It reminds me of a quote from Futurama, "You got to have a little touch.  If you do little, it's like you've done nothing at all."  It holds true to Pokemon but its still engaging enough to keep 10's of millions interested.  Also, think of the alternative.  I don't want a Pokemon with fusion or motorcycles or the main characters becoming Pokemon before battling.

@ sc94597: Yes, and I named three of them. XD (and for the record, Metroid Prime, for what it's worth, felt like an FPS to me)

I'm not going to get into that discussion, but what you "felt" is wrong.

@ sc94597: Fair enough, but I still think your definition of FPS is too narrow. But I hope you agree with me when I say the Guitar Hero/ Rock Band formula has been done to death...

Basically it roots at the idea, that Action-Adventure games and Action games are two different genres. The priority of the metroid prime series(as well as the rest of the series with the exception of hunters) is adventuring aspects.

I don't care for Pokemen. I always thought that it was a bunch of kids stuff and never cared for it.

I don't care for X-Play either, but can enjoy watching Morgan Webb with the volume muted. Muting a Pokemen game doesn't improve it's enjoyability at all, so in this rare case I have to take X-Play's side.

So in conclusion. get rid of Pokemen Red, Blue, Gold, Platinum, Turquoise, and all of the rest. X-Play wins.
