I think by now the noise in the drive seems to be fairly common. Since it is, maybe we can start finding some DIY ways to fix them.

I got it back today and the disc drive is working but they still didnt do anything about the graphics problem. Im waiting till the new year to send it back b/c my daughter is getting some games for Xmas.

The good thing about paying to have your Wii repaired is that they give you a new 1 year warranty. So at least if it happens again, you're covered. Mine was repaired this month for the "Error has occurred, can't read disk" failure. The letter said they replaced the entire disk drive.
