The best aspect of this game was the controls. They truly were quite amazing. However that is the only thing about the game that was top notch. Graphics were good... in some areas. Lighting, effects, and close up things were wonderful. Character models were pretty good. But textures on the environment was just awful. Draw distance was bad too. Water effects were spectacular though. Same kinda with multiplayer. It worked really well and was a great idea but incompetent servers and bad hit detection really hurt the experience. Was not as competent as World at War and nowhere near as good as MOHH2. Finally the single player. Gameplay was solid but weak and DULL. Felt like playing through your generic shooter. Actually I'd relate it a lot to Gears of War because it is the same thing over and over again... firefight to firefight.

Now as it progressed you did see a little more variation but it was too little too later. And I mean that literally. It took me 4 HOURS to beat the game. Even worse it ENDED on a cliffhanger. That's just unacceptable. I don't want Halo 2 endings in my games. You can setup for a sequel but at least give some form of closure.

But I still do think the good outweighed the bad. It was definitely a solid shooter, with graphics that were very good for the Wii, with a single player that I could get into. But multiplayer could have been a lot better, needed more polish, and really needed more inspiration.

It's definitely a little bit above average but nowhere near your top shooter... even on the Wii. I do hope they make a sequel and expand upon the ideas though because there were some neat and creative ideas.

Since the story is so weak and the essence is the multiplayer, which is destroyed by scarcity of maps, and bugs that destroy the experience, as well as a horrible net code , my score has adjusted to:

At least it has multiplayer, but is so miserably done that is offending.

I'd give it a 8.3(use this one) on the inflated scale used by reviewers today, and a 7 on an actual scale of 1-10. I'll explain myself later if anybody wants me to, but I really am to lazy.

7.5, decent game in general so thats a 7, its obviously great for a wii fps so gets another .5. R ated against JUST other wii fps's id rate it higher. Tho, i rated it from a bit of both, fairer?

Graphics are top end for wii. Controls options are amazing. Story perhaps couldve been better but i got through it. I dont see any fps problems. Even tho i find it impossible to get an overall positive k/d on online, its still fairly fun.

I have actually played this more than the original halo 3 :O

I give it an 8.1. It's a fun game, especially multi-player. However it lacks consistency in it's quality (some levels and graphics, mostly mid to later are more polished), and the on line has some bugs. Was hoping this to be a 9+, but didn't meet expectations. However, it's still one of the best FPS games for the Wii, and more enjoyable because of the controls than most PS3/360 FPS games.
