Actually... if anything, won't this hurt PS3 sales? I can imagine people owning a PS2 & 360, or a PS2 & Wii - but not buying a PS2, then buying a PS3? (maybe in the future...?). |

Long term maybe however short term this is good for Sony. Anyone buying a PS2 is likely someone not turning around to spend even more money on a Wii. Even more to the point, anyone buying a PS2 will be buying games which is even more money going to Sony and not Nintendo or Microsoft. Right now, Sony needs all the money it can get to offset the heavy losses the PS3 is producing.
