360 breaking is nothing new but wow I can't believe your PS3 broke. That's really rare. Tough luck.

I've only ever had 2 consoles break, Playstation 1 and 360.

ironically, my wii has been my most unreliable console breaking on me twice. sometimes you just get unlucky.

ps3 generally gives signs.

when overheat. if trinidad it's like my country = hot.

it probably something happen to it due heat, do u have it in a open and fresh area?

I'd say so, but it does get pretty hot in our rooms. I don't think we noticed any signs

I've tried a few things

- what Lafiel said
- what gamelover2000 said
- all the options in the recovery console

no luck...
I do realize however that when I'm trying to do the update and the PS3 restore, it bums out to the red screen before it reaches 100%.

I'm at an ends....thanks for the help and support T_T
I'll have to see what I can do to send it to the states.
As for the 360, I'll have a go at it.

my rooms gets hot too =(, the fan start to kick in when i play in the middle of the day.

@Chainman Mao

LOL Yeah, PS3's dont break, where you live? Im sure Leo-J and Seraphic would like to live there.

I found the PS3 hates dust, the thing just seems to soak it up and then you can't get it out. My 3rd PS3 sounds like a hair dryer now, my dusty environment is killing it. Its not like I don't vacuum its just the dust here gets everywhere.

Tease.

@Squilliam- i agree, the damn PS3 is a Dust-Storm hero, really... damn i dust and stuff to i also have a dusty area aswell but meh... i think thats why.

Hm... that really does sound like heat then...
