Worst story mode of any call of duty.

just had to get that out the way.

now im enjoying the game a whole lot but i think the maps aren't all that great but some are better than w@w but worst than cod4. i also think alot of people are being blind to the steps forward treyarch made with w@w that infity ward completely overlooked. im thinking from here on out treyarch will be the ones who will step outside the box just like they did with w@w (zombies/4 player campaign/more DLC)

im willing to bet that infinity ward have a lock on if anyone takes the franchise into the future (plasma/laser guns ect.) it will be them because im sure treyarch would love to do it. also mw2 party system is a step down from w@w.

i know i sound like i dislike the game but i honestly dont. i think its alot better than w@w just that w@w did alot right thats being overlooked because iw made this game. come on no excuse for the story mode or even spec ops not being 4 players online.

Regarding the single player, the story/plot line is awful. To be honest, I really couldn't follow the story. It seemed like a really bad season of 24. That being said, I really loved the gameplay. They seem to have corrected most of the spawning issues that have plagued the franchise. I finished it on Hardened, and I am on the final chapter on Veteran. This game is not quite as hard on Veteran as COD4. Special Ops is a welcomed addition, and really adds to the replayability. I can't really comment on the competitive because I've only played a handful of matches.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Dude I'm probably the only one who thinks WaW>MW when it comes to both online and story mode (although both story modes are average at best) and yeah Treyarch did a great job with the zombie mode. They had a beginners playlist which only match you with people rank 10 and lower, in MW2 I struggled at first, I can't customize my class or have a decent weapon (sorry FAMS sucks) but when you get to level 8(?) you start playing the game and when you finally get Cold Blooded you REALLY start the real game

About the maps yeah Derail and especially Wasteland can go die in a fire (really Wasteland is seriously horrible) but the rest are fine I think and my favorites are Skidrow, Terminal, Karachi, Afghan, Favela and Quarry (what can I say I have lots of favorites :D)

*Edit* Damn you dbot -_-

I hate favela. I really can't stand it, I die way to many times in that map that I get frustrated...(From the roof, from the window, from behind me;..etc.

I don't have that feeling in the other maps (so far).

My Main Multiplayer Layout

- SCAR-H (Holographic & FMJ)
- PP2000 (Red Dot & FMJ)
- Semtex grenade
- Stun x2
- Bling Pro
- Stopping Power Pro
- Steady Aim Pro
- Martyrdom (which I never need!)

My other class I use

- UMP-45 (Holographic & Silencer)
- PP2000 (Red Dot & Silencer)
- Semtex & Stun x2
- Bling Pro
- Stopping Power Pro
- Steady Aim Pro
- Martyrdom

My Kill Streaks:

- UAV (3)
- Attack Chopper (7)
- Pave Low (9) or AC130 (11)

I found that Stopping Power isn't really that big since you can take down a guy pretty fast, Cold Blooded or Lightweight are more practical IMO.

As for kill streaks I have UAV, Supply Drop and predator missile. You'll be surprised of how much does the supply drop gives you an AC130

As everyone else has already said, the story is simply terrible. That said I still enjoyed the single player campaign, it managed to maintain a good atmosphere throughout and i enjoyed the sense of scale given by the huge military campaign you are involved in. Currently playing on hardened and think I'm near the end now.

As for the multiplayer, I have a few issues with the fact that some games are still laggy (if I can play Killzone 2 without lag I don't think it's asking too much to be able to do the same here) and I don't know if it's just me but the hit detection seems to be a little funny. Watching killcam (and in particular the final kill video) I'm sure hits are being registered when people are not even aiming at me? Haven't really got a feel for the maps yet and am still unlocking weapons so haven't really got a favourite. Those complaints aside, the online aspect is still hugely addictive.

Special Ops are a nice addition, largely for allowing some sort of 2 player co-op.

Mine is

SCAR H with 2 attachments (FMJ and a Red dot)
Bling Pro
Cold Blooded
Scrambler Pro

DS: Martyr

Is there a VGC clan for US? i would like to join!
