I see NSMB Wii ending in the 15-30 million area, to be honest. It depends on whether it ends up as a Mario Kart Wii success. MKWii is looking at ~ 28 million, so I'm projecting that NSMB Wii will fall short of Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii.

2.2 million first week, first 4 weeks are harder but maybe around 4.5 million and I think it'll sell 22 million lifetime.

okay maybe i am undershooting here, but we cant all possibly think that his game is going to outsell galaxy are we?

It bothers me that a game like this will get sales, it is confusing and frustrating.
why or how would even the most hadcore nintendo/ mario fans want or expect nsmbwii to outsell galaxy?

The game only has 70k preorders in Japan. It probably won't do much more than Galaxy first there.

NSMB on DS sold 900k in Japan first week.

Because we want 2D Mario back on our consoles. 2D Mario doubling/tripling 3D Mario sales sends Nintendo a message they can't ignore. 3D Mario will still sell enough not to be dumped like 2D Mario was so we get the best of both dimensions.
