Demon Souls isn't underappreciated. People either don't know about it, have played it and are dying horrible deaths or are afraid of it.

Hardcore is a self given title. Where as the proper term would be "enthusiast"
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

They then defend themselves on game forums (not in real life because they have no one to talk to, hence the word, "loser") by claiming gaming is a sport and guys like Walshy are "cool".

For clarification I personally think all of us nerds that really regularly visit a site that is about game sales are the pinnacle of "hardcore". Even most shooter and gore freaks wouldn't bother with sth. like that.

while I'm not the biggest fan of Walshy everything you just said has nothing to do with him. You can make fun of him or any other MLG pro when you making a million dollars a year playing video games for a living or anything else for that matter.

If your definition of hardcore is game difficulty I would like to introduce you to a little game called Ninja Gaiden. Beat that game on the hardest setting and the Master Ninja tournament that came out for the original version as dlc and then you will be a true hardcore gamer and I will submit to your greatness

Hardcore gamers are those who do not play games for fun, entertainment, but take gaming seriously.
Hardcore games are "serious games", that are full of cinematics, and epic plots, etc. Also, they are grey.
