As you can see in my signature, I have a lot of systems but the DS is my favorite gaming system of this generation, I can spend more time with my DS than with my gaming PC or even my consoles. The DS doesn't need n64/psx games, he needs portable games. If I want to play some console games I will play it on a console.

Anyway, have fun with your DS, I hope we can play Phantasy Star Zero someday. Good Luck bro.

Well i dont' agree those games are better than Orcs & Elves. Metal Slug is more my taste than the games you mentioned. You say I only played 10%, but you don't know what I've played.

Look, no need to give me crap about not being a DS fan. Clearly I play the games, fortunately I atleast found a few games I enjoy. For the life of the DS I'll try to find more games I enjoy as well. I'm not close minded, I need to find and I hope they make games I enjoy.

Ok, sorry :). If you liked Orcs & Elves I think you should try Etrian Odyssey 2 and The Dark Spire, they are really good. Contra 4 is not like Metal Slug 7, both games are classic games but Metal Slug has more personality, still, Contra 4 is a great game, even if you're not a fan of the series you should try this game. I am not a fan of the Castlevania series but my mind changed on the DS, buy Dawn Of Sorrow and if you don't like it, Castlevania is not for you. 

And okr is right about the title thing.

The list didn't contain games I personally enjoy. I'm sorry you had to learn that the DS library doesn't appeal to everyone. Even people who genuinely gave it a try. I've played more than handful of games by the way, I've probably played more than you.

And who's looking for attention? Read my original post. I was merely complimenting a game that actually makes me happy about owning a DS. I wasn't expecting everyone to focus on my disappointment of the DS library.

As you like to tell people that they had to learn something from your thread, here's something that you can learn yourself from the reactions to your thread: Not your OP, but your thread title attracts the people; i.e. you get lots of responses but no one cares about the discussion you wanted to start. Your own fault.

If people didn't care about what I had to say this thread should have just died. God forbid someone isn't happy with the DS library.

Well its a quality game, its not like the typical garbage you find on the on cell phones.

Most DS library is  garbage as well thanks to shovelware. For every 1 solid DS title there are 50 pieces of crap.

Wow, you're such a Nintendo fan that your eyes zoomed in on that one sentence and you missed my point entirely.

The moral of the story was, 99% of cell phone games are crap but that doesn't there can't be a quality cell phone game (i.e. Orcs & Elves).

And don't tell me about "knowledge", kid: i'm way more powerful than you could ever imagine... english may be my second language only, so i can't always express myself as i could and i should, but one thing is for sure: i recognise a troll as soon as i read him... because it's boring as hell...

 

Oh god, quit trying to be a tough guy.

Point is, I haven't been happy with the DS library. And I say that as a DS owner who has played many games for it. That's not trolling, I didn't realize not being content with the library is flamebait for DS fans.

Frankly I'd prefer if people just said, "sell it and shut up." But nope, people feel I'm just not playing the DS enough.

No, personally I don't mind at all if someone doesn't like most games of a system I love, but you should have known right from the start that most people would care more for your thread title than your OP (and your own responses to the reactions imply that you are more interested in talking about your dislike of the DS library than Phantasy Star Zero...).

anyway. ive just started my traditional fomar on phantasy star zero. it would be great if there was a new phantasy star (non universe) for the consoles.

No, the thread title implies I found a DS game I really enjoy. And my post only focuses on the game I've been enjoying.

DS fans are responsible for this discussion becoming bitter instead of just letting it die.

to be honest i did not enjoy psu as much as the psos. ambitions of aluminus helped but it didnt satisfy me as much as pso 1&2 on gc as well as ep3 on gc.

 

so far im thinking ps0 will be my pso replacement.

How is it, as far as randomizing the level layout?  I have gone through multiple Phantasy Star games, including the derivatives of Online, all the way back to the Dreamcast version.  For myself, I have Borderlands to fill that niche, and other RPGs also, if I need something.
