Wow, you're such a Nintendo fan that your eyes zoomed in on that one sentence and you missed my point entirely.

The moral of the story was, 99% of cell phone games are crap but that doesn't there can't be a quality cell phone game (i.e. Orcs & Elves).

And as I stated before and he proved, if I had provided him a list, he would just throw up some negative comment to try to state how the games suck. He's been proven wrong multiple times in this thread and shown that he has only played literally a handful of DS games, which he hated and therefore says 'the DS library sucks compared to console games'.

Nothing to see here but a negative ninny who's looking for attention and speaks in absolutes.

You said "orcs and elves" and I gave you 5 games better than Orcs and Elves, you said "Metal Slug 7" and I gave you some great 2d platformer/sidescroller games, you said "cod4" and I gave you 2 COD games (better than the first game). I gave you a big list and you didn't tested 10% of the list but you said "it lacks quality". I don't know... I think you are just a closed mind. You didn't had the time to see all the names on the list. :(

As you can see in my signature, I have a lot of systems but the DS is my favorite gaming system of this generation, I can spend more time with my DS than with my gaming PC or even my consoles. The DS doesn't need n64/psx games, he needs portable games. If I want to play some console games I will play it on a console.

The list didn't contain games I personally enjoy. I'm sorry you had to learn that the DS library doesn't appeal to everyone. Even people who genuinely gave it a try. I've played more than handful of games by the way, I've probably played more than you.

And who's looking for attention? Read my original post. I was merely complimenting a game that actually makes me happy about owning a DS. I wasn't expecting everyone to focus on my disappointment of the DS library.

Well i dont' agree those games are better than Orcs & Elves. Metal Slug is more my taste than the games you mentioned. You say I only played 10%, but you don't know what I've played.

Look, no need to give me crap about not being a DS fan. Clearly I play the games, fortunately I atleast found a few games I enjoy. For the life of the DS I'll try to find more games I enjoy as well. I'm not close minded, I need to find and I hope they make games I enjoy.

No, it's not, the problem is that you want console games on a cellphone or portable system. Gameloft has provided some fun games for cell phones. Today, cellphones has a big and excellent game library for what it is: A cellphone (yes, I could give you a huge list, but you won't see a PSX/N64 game on the list, so... no quality).

As you like to tell people that they had to learn something from your thread, here's something that you can learn yourself from the reactions to your thread: Not your OP, but your thread title attracts the people; i.e. you get lots of responses but no one cares about the discussion you wanted to start. Your own fault.

My expectations for cell phone games are low. I'm happy if they're remotely entertaining for more than 5 minutes. Doom RPG was fantastic, and I've played meteos quite a bit as well. But those only cost a few dollars.

DS games are considerably more expensive. So I wouldn't mind having more games of PSX and N64 quality on the DS. Even porting those games would be great for me, but they don't even do that.

The DS has a great library across many different genres. Not just jrpgs. I've played mainly adventure and visual novels on the DS up until this point. Barely touched the jrpgs yet.

The DS is also my favorite system. After a long day, it's just so much easier to plop down and relax with your DS and be able to play with your DS anywhere around the home instead of being restricted to playing on a console in front of a TV. I have a 360 though because there are gameplay mechanics that you just can't do on a handheld very well atm. If you want to play a shooter, sports game, wrpg (unless it's like old-school), fighting game, sandbox action-adventure (though some people claim that GTA Chinatown Wars was good), etc. a home console/gaming PC is more ideal.
