Forums - Sales - Why aren't EU sales tracked for certain games ?

Also a game that has't been released yet in Europe haa been tracked which is strange because there is no way VgChartz can have solid evidence it would sell that amount.

They might aswell attempt to track PSN games as well seen as though they are pulling numbers out of the air.

I assume you mean Dragon Age: Origins. http://vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=2818589 Might want to do a bit of research before you say something.

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

But, VgChartz doesn't track PC sales remember? Look at every PC game and you won't see any data.

Seems like a good excuse by ioi. Certainly fooled a few people.

Would it not be better to attempt to add in the data for PC games if you have certain figures such as the data for "others" for Dragon Age: Origins?

Btw, Rock Band on PS3 will in no way be close to a milion seller in Others. The Xbox 360 version only sold one third of that and it was released 9 months earlier.

Are you sure Rock Band even came out in Europe on ps3?

Guitar Hero is much bigger anyway

yes, I'm german and I own the german PS3 version of Rock Band (and my friend owns Rock Band 2 - another game that's missing european sales here)

GH may be bigger, but it's not better

@ koffieboon )

yes, it's nowhere close to 1m in others, but I bet with others data it's close to (or over) 1m ww (and obviously that's what he ment)

@Lafiel Just reread his post and noticed my mistake. With PAL sales it probably is a million seller, even if only just. Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things though, selling 900k or 1 million won't make a big difference to EA / Harmonix.

Edit: Just looked at the ELSPA sales awards for the games mentioned as missing PAL numbers in the OP and couldn't find any of them in the silver awards list. Although the UK is obviously not equal to total others, it is a first indication of sales in the region as a whole not being too high for these games.

@ the boss

Please do add "figures" (those without weekly sales) such as in Oblivion for possible million sellers at least. (when you have the time anyway)
The numbers added for God of War games, what do they indicate ? First month ? First Year ?
Surely it has sold at least a million in others ?

Concerning PC, might add that PC games is still a quite large chunk of the game sales in countries such as Sweden. Look at Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2 in the last couple of weeks and you note that the PC versions of these games charts quite high.

Week 45
1. Dragon Age: Origins (PC)
2. Dragon Age: Origins (360)

Week 46
1. Modern Warfare 2 (360)
2. Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
3. Modern Warfare 2 (PC)
4. Dragon Age: Origins (PC)
5. Wii Fit Plus (Wii)
6. Dragon Age: Origins (360)
