lol alright. Keep spending thousands of dollars on songs because you believe it's "infringing a copyright". I'm sure the thousands of other people that download from frostwire will have a change of heart because they are stealing from billionaires.

I don't spend anything on songs.

I just listen to internet radio.

I used to buy CDs as a kid and then i'd never listen to the songs... unless they came on the radio.  Then i'd get excited and turn it up... even though I had the CD.

It's the same way with movies.  Never actually watch the DVDs i own unless it's on TV.

So I don't buy music or CDs.  I just watch movies on TV (and rent) and listen to Internet Radio.... usually while playing TF2.

Alright, here's the thing captainpreference....I'm an adult....with a job...that I get paid for. Fuck, I can walk out of a gas station with a snapple and a candy bar and nobody is going to fucking stop me, bookstores only tag a handful of books to set off the alarms at the door so more likely than not, you can just walk right out with a book and nothing will happen. Stores like K-mart are actually instructed not to stop somebody from shoplifting unless it's more than 50 dollars because the legal fees are more expensive than the merchandise (I knew a security gaurd that worked at retail stores). Stealing is easy.

But I'm a 25 year old that actually has purchasing power, I'm not an unemployed 16 year old that doesn't get enough allowance from his parents. I don't work so I can see a big number in my checking account, I work so I can buy things, and I'm not particularly greedy so I don't really find myself in want. You may think "buying stuff" is all stupid and shit, but that's how the grownup world works. When I was your age, I pirated shit too. Then I got a job. You'll grow up someday, but in the meantime try not to make an ass of yourself.

How did I know this "stupid unemployed 16 year old" shit would come up yet again? You know its strange that a lot of 20 year olds like to criticize teenagers as if they wern't themselves..

Of course I know what the grownup world is like, but it isn't always buying stuff. Some people are mroe conservative with their money and work to pay the bills or provide for their family, not buy songs. You would be surprised on my knowledge of adult life, but then again i'm just a stupid unemployed 16 year old with no life expirience.

It's ok that you have to buy music to feel better about your self. I would think more than half of adults over 20 download their music anyways so just keep wasting your money.

@Vagabond: Since you already bought the album all those years ago, you torrenting it would be the same as if you still had your CD and ripped it to your computer.

That's a good point, but I think I'll buy it just to feel better about my self. Spending money raises my self esteem like crazy high.

Also captainpreference, if you can't afford it that probably means you shouldn't get it, that doesn't mean taking it because you want it but have better things to spend money on is a justification. Not that a 16 year old needs justification. When I was your age I pirated music too, and I didn't care either. I didn't sit around justifying it as financial frugality, or that I was like robin hood or any stupid shit like that though. I just manned up and said "Fuck it, I'm stealing some music". So in the future don't act condoscending towards people that can afford to buy what they want, opposed to steal things that they want. Anybody can steal, it's easy. People don't buy things because they are too stupid to steal.

downloading music isn't stealing its copyright infringement..... I do it for basically the reasons Vagabond says that doesn't mean that I never buy music I just don't do it often and if I had the money I would buy alot more music rather than downloading it.
