Forums - General - I want my music NOW. MP3 age has made me impatient.

So I heard a song from NIN's Pretty Hate Machine album on the radio the other day and I was like "damn, that is an awesome album. I need to go find my old CD. So I try to find it, no luck. I haven't listened to that album since I was a teenager, and I've moved several times since then. So I think, ah screw it, I'll just buy it again, it's definitely worth it. NOT ON ITUNES. Just about every other NIN album, but no PHM. So I think "maybe amazon will have it in their MP3 section." NOPE. Goddamn it, I don't want to wait 3 days to have it shipped and I don't want to go rummage through overpriced CD stores like FYE or BestBuy to see if they have a copy. It seems like an absurdity that I can't just have this album right now. I have money, I am a consumer, please me!

What's funny is that this is very new. It wasn't that long ago that I wouldn't have minded that much. I mean I used to like going to music stores, and I didn't mind having to wait for shipping from Amazon. But I've gotten spoiled. Funny thing that. Now give me my damn industrial tunes with awesome catchy techno hooks!

Wow you actually download from one of those things? Just download it from megaupload/zshare/mediafire/rapidshare/ a music blog?

Ive been using frostwire since 06, and I have never had a virus or any problem with my computer. Why the hell would I buy a song for a dollar when I can download it free? Imagine if I had to pay for over 500 songs..

Imagine, I payed for about 30.000 songs in my life and I never regretted it.

But I sometimes regret reading posts like the one above mine...

You seriously payed thirty thousand songs? And why is what i'm sayign so bad. It seems everyone on this forum condems downloading music from frostwire.

Yes, seriously. I own more than 2.500 CDs and LPs.

Amusingly this is thought to be a main reason why piracy happened so much a while ago.

There were plenty of people who wanted to buy online MP3's but record companys were sitting on their hands and had crappy online stores with almost nothing... if they even had that.

I agree it does seem rather silly it's not up for online distribution.
