Forums - Microsoft - Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & bolts

Hey everyone, you may or may not know my brother bought the MW2 360 on tuesday, and I was wondering about a game, the 360 banjo kazooie.

I was wondering, is it platforming like the originals, where you were manly walking around, and learn new moves, or is it mostly on a vehicle? I really want to know because i LOVED banjo kazooie on the N64, and would like a similar experience.

Thanks!

I haven't played the N64 Banjo games. But I do own Nuts and Bolts. So I can't say how they compare.

Nuts and Bolts its kind of like Mario 64. You just go to stages and just complete goals. A lot of which are racing goals and that's where your vehicles come into place. It doesn't feel like an adventure game, not particularly great, but still an enjoyable and different from what you typically see on the 360. I bought it for $10 so I can't complain.

I haven't played it much personally, but from what I've understood it's almost exclusively vehicles. There are a few platform sections, but mostly you'll make vehicles and get around with them. Sadly.

Yeah, most of the game does involve you using vehicles. You don't have to create vehicles though. You start off with a few and get new ones as you play. However, creating vehicles and modifying the ones already in the game can be a lot of fun.

everything is vehicle based.
so you've got no combat moves (except for a spin), no eggs or feathers and only a basic jump.

later you'll have combat vehicles, but it isn't as fun as playing banjo on N64.
it's a good game, just not that great like the oldies.

Everything in the worlds is vehicle based. You can do some platforming in Showdown Town, which is the hub world.

game is great.  same feel of the older banjo games.

if you dont have viva pinata 2 i would recommend this bundle:

its both games, a controller, and its pretty cheap.

I didn't enjoy it as much as the N64 games. It is pretty much entirely vehicles sadly and I only bothered renting it, It wasn't worth the 39.99$ in my opinion. So If you loved the old Banjo's this one is nothing like them, you will probubly be dissapointed if you pick it up!

Why not get the originals from XBLA?
