Forums - Nintendo - First NSMB.Wii commercials aired, must see!

I thought it was effective.

How many boats does it take to carry 18 million plastic game cases around the world over the course of 2 years?

There sure are boats both large enough and quick enough to do that singlehandedly. So theoretically, only 1. :D In practice, probably a bit more than that.

It wasn't the most inspiring thing I've seen, but it gets its message across very, very well.

That commercial was actually kind of bad... I don't need to see other people playing Mario.

I want to hear them I guess if at all. I'd rather see people excited about getting it, or maybe some animated Mario action, hell this commercial was epic!

Probably the last good commercial from Nintendo:

When I buy the game; I don't buy those people; I buy Mario.

I know this will sound unusual, but I don't think that most highly effective commercials sell a product as much as they sell an image or idea ...

this is true.

commercials don't sell products, they sell emotions.

Misunderstanding is that the emotions of those on watchers isn't what's being sold, I found my eyes trying to catch what they were smiling at not them smiling.

In other words, the emotions aren't about the people they are the direction for what emotions the commercial is trying to guide any observers relate to. The emotion is really from the game being played, I'm looking for whats so damn funny.

The commercial in that Link has a lot of energy and content being shown, in fact I don't even need to see that much of the game, I know the content just from the characters that are fighting each other.

Best of all the smile on my face when I watch what they do to each other. I don't need to be educated on what to do by that commercial.
