Or they could take their money and flush it down the toilet, it would be as good of a strategy as Sony and Microsoft's current "HD", "Internet", and "Hard-Core Gaming" machines ...
The industry really is not ready for HD consoles being that only a small minority of households have HDTVs, not everyone plays their game consoles on their Living Room TVs, and most developers can not afford to develop these High Definition games. Online Gameplay (for the most part) is something that only a small segment of the population cares about and the majority of users get turned off because of the intollerant discussions of 13 year old boys.
