Nintendo needs to re-invest this money back into the wii and do it fast, the wii will not be #1 forever. Up production and expand the wii into other countries like the PS3.

Plus they could expand their teams that work on Nintendo games, Nintendo has some of the smallest teams in all of gaming. Last gen they had crap for games. If Nintendo thinks they can win this gen with poor first party support like with the GC they are wrong.

After Galaxy, Brawl, mario cart, Zelda and MP3 they have nothing. Either buy more companies, or start making more of these games like crazy.

Wow you're right. After those games there will be nothing left. I'm sure nintendo didn't even think about that when they scheduled release dates. Geez wonder what they'll do now that they have no more games to sell. >.> They couldn't possibly have anything lined up for the entire year of 2008 or maybe even the rest of the wii's lifespan O.o

No need to be an ass because you're retarded, maybe you never heard of the N64 and the Gamecube. Nintendo failed with these two systems to make enough games, and bring great third party games to the system. Only one main Mario game on each of these systems, while Sony pumped out multiple spyro and bandicoot games on the PS1. Then they had 4 ratchet games on the PS2 and 3 or more jak games on the system aswell.

Nintendo needs to make their teams bigger and buy more companies ASAP if they expect to keep up sales of the wii.

Yes calling someone an ass and retarded is going to help you're point. You're right I never heard of two systems that I owned. N64 and Gamecube had poor sales for a lot of reasons, but not because sony launched multiple crappy spyro's and bandicoot's. I guess by that reasoning snes shouldn't have sold well either since they didn't launch multiple mario's and zelda's on it either. They lost because they chose a crappy medium to put their games on, as well as years of forcing third parties hands. They definitely need 3rd party support and they will get this simply because they will have the highest userbase this gen. I'm just sick of people saying after "these games" they won't have anything to sell. That's so entirely ridiculous. You haven't even heard of a fraction of the games they're going to release in 2008 and you're already making assumptions. You can continue to be as ignorant as you want, but before you call me an ass and a retard you might want to know what you're talking about first.

Note that I never said you're idea on them expanding was a bad one. I only mocked you for your belief they won't be releasing any games after "these 5" which is just not well thought out on your part.

Oh yeah and the same thing I would tell anyone using the word "retard" as an insult : Grow Up.

They should definitely spend it on getting more quality games.  Buying a developer would be a big help because 1st party is Nintendo's trump card and they could use more quality 1st party titles.  But even more important would be building the best 3rd party dev kits and relationships possible.  That would be the key to making the Wii truly dominant.

I think a theme park would be outstanding in the long term, as they have the franchises to become another Disney but theme parks of any serious quality would be a LONG way off.

I'm glad you've learned that Onimusha.

Anyways, Griffin, that was a bit over the line. Try not to let things get too heated in debate. Couple more attacks like that and it's paid vacation for you.

if it was just flamboyant trolling I'd agree but I think a 1 day ban is in order because personal attacks are not to be tolerated under any circumstance.

Well, there are some Pokemon themed parks around the world.  It seems a few are coming to America

Then there's this

I'm certain Nintendo is doing this already, but if I was Nintendo I would have dozens of small development teams (10 developers or less) producing unconventional game concepts with no real considerations of marketability. Essentially, this would be a form of "pure" videogame research and development. Being that there is no focus on producing anything polished or professional, most of these game concepts could be completed and demonstrated in 6 weeks to 6 months.

After a few years and many iterations most of these concept teams will be cranking out interesting and unique gameplay ideas at a steady pace and Nintendo should be able to farm them for great profit. Being able to constantly redefine gaming would put Nintendo in a unique and very powerful position in the industry.

Though to be fair you're the only one to ever accuse me of not knowing so in the first place.

Well.. before that little outburst a while ago.

This is a brilliant idea and one that's probably already happening.  I'm sure this is already taking place and is the reason behind some of the unusual games we've seen recently.  This is the kind of production I'm expecting with wiiware.

Actually now that I reread that last paragraph... isn't this exactly what is happening now?
