Will FF13 be the next FF7? Will it be widely regarded as the best jrpg of its time like FF7? Will it be a large influence to the JRPG genre like FF7 was? Discuss

I doubt it. Nothing compares to your first time. Final Fantasy 7 was a lot of people's first love. 13 will hopefully be good, but it doesn't stand a chance.

Plus, I watched the trailers. The voice acting......hmmmm.

There's not a lot of competition in JRPGs this gen so FFXIII will most certainly become the best RPG of the gen.

DQX is competition but it won't release anytime soon so FFXIII will stay the best for quiet a while.

Highly doubt it. I don't really like the look of FF13 tbh but I'll get it at some point and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. The English VA however doesn't impress me at all.

There's no question that SE wants it to be the next FFVII since they're already planning 10 yeras of FFXIII but I'm 100% sure it won't be.

absolutely not.....considering FF7 is basis of FF13..in order for any FF to be better than FF7 they have to beat FF7 not emulate it
