Everyone knows someone in the service. This is our day to thank them for the things they do.

Today I thank my brother who is enlisted in the navy.

I thank my childhood friends who are enlisted in the marines and navy.

I thank my step-father, who was in the air force for 15 years.

Courage and fortitude to our brothers and sisters in the service, and in the shit.

Blessings to the families of, and those who lost their lives in Texas this past week.

Now let's fix our economy, so they can afford to live when they get back!

"I think it's wonderful that those who aren't wearing poppies today are in fact celebrating their freedom that the soldiers of WWII allowed them to keep, by having the choice to wear one or not... I'm also a fan of irony."

Sums up what I was thinking when I was went out earlier and saw many people not wearing poppies (In Britain we wear poppies to show respect on veterans day, I don't know if that's done in America). The fact that they have the freedom not to honour the soldiers is a testament to exactly how much they should, I think it's ironic really lol.
