Every game, dvd and blu ray works expect this game. At first nothing wanted to work, then called Sony they made me do a few things and this game still doesn't work. It just keeps freezing. Get to the first part and it freezes, and i have to shut off the system and turn it back on because even the controller won't work.

Any help or ideas

How's the ventilation of your system?

Probably a bad disk, take it back to the store and exchange it for a new copy

When you say first part what do you mean? Also, have you downloaded the latest patch 1.01? It may fix the problem.

I've had that problem before with MLB the Show, and Oblivion. I had to take back both copies because they kept freezing my ps3. They said it was a defective disk, I urge you to take it back and get a new copy. My second copies worked just fine.

IW will release a patch for the PS3 that should fix some problems but I don't know if yours is one of them. They said it would release soon.

Like i said, Uncharted 1, 2, Re 5, GTA 4, MGS, they all freaking work just fine but this game will not work, it just freezes.

The ventilation is good on the system.

The first part i mean after the first loading and when the guy is talking about shooting, it freezes every time.

Try deleting all Modern Warfare 2 data and then booting it up again. If it still doesn't work I would try it to see if it works in a friends PS3.

Only problem I've had is trouble getting people into online parties sometimes. Can't help with your problem though.

I had the same problem with MLB the Show as well as MLB the Show Demo. They would both freeze regardless just prior to reaching the main menu. Tried two different discs and the demo and they all froze on me. Never figured out why and never had a problem with any other game.

Also I can't join any parties and none of my friends can join any parties either. What is up with that? I couldn't even join up with my brother when we were using the same exact router/internet connection. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? It's really annoying when you get hyped up with a bunch of your friends to get the game and we cant even play with eachother now.
