30-40k? Ouch.. even Haze and Lair beat that and those are reffered to as "the flop of the generation"

Considering those were games built from the ground up that partially resulted in the closing down of their respective companies, its not even close.

You forgot to mention that Call of Duty:WaW launched with only 62k for Wii (America+Europe), but managed 1.31 million overall so far. Meanwhile Haze it at (a rather respectable tbh) 790k, (after launching with 152k) while Lair has only managed 360k, the launch week being unknown as Europe data is missing, but it managed 90k with America and Japan alone.

Both of those games costed a multitude to develop. You know that, but you're ignoring the fact for comfort.

Not to mention the fact that people are suggesting that the final weekly figure could end up being somewhere around 70,000. There was also 40,000 odd people that have online accounts now. So it appears to be having similar early momentum to the WaWo online addees.
