Forums - Microsoft - my 360 is interfering with my brothers ps3, wireless help please

i have a 360 online using a belkin g wirless gaming adapter and when i go on xbox live my brother in the other room always complains that its draining his ps3s reception and making it all laggy and slow. Is there anything i can do to stop this? Can the frequency be changed on either my adapter or his ps3? would it be better if i use the official xbox wireless adapter?

your help please, thanks

it happens alot, my father's computer steals most of my internet

They both eat up alot of internet, i suggest you get better internet

i got a 4mb connection and it works fine.

Sounds like your internet is just too slow to support two of you gaming at the same time. What's your speed?

Whats your internet connection speed?

its 10mb but my other brother has a ps3 and its fine when hes on it :/

Maybe it's the setting on your brother's PS3 or some port issue? My PS3 sometimes have connection problems too although no one else is using the internet nor was my 360 on.

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3

GAMEFLY & GOOZEX FTW

Get the N adapter for the Xbox 360 and an N wireless router. That means you'll have the most stable wireless connection possible and you will have far less contention.

N is on the 5ghz frequency IIRC and G is on 2.4Ghz which is shared with the Xbox 360 controllers, Microwaves and cordless telephones.

Tease.

The 360 owns the PS3 online... confirmed. ~_n

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

How about you both play at different times. If you playing the 360 tell your brother to wait for you to finish or you wait for him to finish on the PS3.
