Forums - Nintendo - Trying to get my girlfriend into Nintendo

We have a date at my house Wednesday (Veteran's Day) to watch Alfred Hitchcock presents. I have a feeling we won't do that the WHOLE time, so I want to show her videogames (she's never played) so I was wondering what you guys think would be good games to choose, and how lighthearted the mood should be. All advice welcome, thanks.

First play mario kart, then slowly move up to Brawl, then super mario galaxy then eventually your whole collection. btw does she own a wii?

Mario Kart Wii is probably the best way to get her started, yeah.

Or, you know. The really obvious answer.

Wii Sports.

Honestly, Wii Sports is the best gateway game there is.

Yeah, I take back what I said about Mario Kart. MKWii is definitely second date material.

Start her off with bowling and tennis.

The original Super Mario Bros. may be a good game to start her off with coming from the other direction, since all you have is the ability to run and jump.

well wii sports is better cause all u have to do is play!

I'm saying Mario Bros. may be a good title to show her after Wii Sports.

First no buttons. That's Wii Sports tennis and boxing, and Pac-Man, or a karaoke game, or anything with the balance board.
Then 1-2 buttons. That's Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Bros.
Then Katamari.

Good luck!
