MS first quarter result ( from July to 30 September 2007 )

MS globally :

revenue = $ 13,762 million

operating income = $ 5,918 million

Net Income = $ 4.3 billion

Entertainment and Devices Division operating income $165 million on revenue of $ 1,929 million.

This is the second profitable quarter in the entire division\\\\\\\'s history ( Halo 3 effect ? ). The first profitable quarter was in Q2 2005 ( from October to December 2004 ) when Halo 2 was released. In that quarter MS H&E obtained an net income of $ 84 million.

In this quarter MS H&E sold to retailers 1.8 million of Xbox 360. So total 360 shipment life to date are 13.4 million units. Seem that XBox 360 is still ahead Wii in shipments ( Wii = 13.17 million ).
