You do realize that the video you posted was an old build which even had the "bare" damage model of the Subaru right? That video is from the Jeux video event, and if I remember correctly, people were still complaining about it due to it being a replay mode video.

This is a true Gameplay video with no replay added effects, even if it has a bad quality, you can see how good the enviroments look, and in the second video, the damage replay one, you can even see trees moving to the effect of the wind, effects that weren't shown in older gameplay videos

The one in the OP is the same build as TGS09. Gametrailers have shown all that intro stuff before it's not new. I showed a different video because to me the one I posted looked better in all areas?! I would just like to see more resolution on scenery. But then the lighting is superb, so I guess thats where the power has gone. Cars and lighting. But to be honest we all nitpick games to much anyway. It looks fantastic. And I'm sure as GT has always done, will be a great game.

@Selnor

It's not the same build, that's what we are trying to tell you. The TGS build had the old damage model of the Subaru. Look at the new damage model for the Infinity G37, you can see the localized scratches where the car clipped the wall and other cars. I'm not saying that the video you showed was wrong, it's just old.
To me, if you look at both videos in the OP and the videos at www.GTplanet.net it shows a good evolution of what the TGS videos offered.

Yeah I see the scratches and that habeen implemented properly. I was really referring to the environments. Which I think look the exact same. After all to change the environments and make the framerate steady on all courses with less than 16 weeks development left is nigh on impossible. Unless it gets postponed again. Thats the nature of game development. But I

yeah I notice the improvement on the scratches.

you are joking right ? u can't see this on the video ?

since you possed FM3, and since it seems Selnor has entered the fight, what environnement looks the best to you ?
(time for me to leave lol)

Time to Work !

@Selnor

The problem is that the enviroments may look the same, but they have improved effects. If you look close, on the replay video, you can actually see trees moving to the wind. That effect can't be done on 2D trees as you once implied, so it clearly shows that, at least, the tress have been improved to 3D.
But the big plus is still the new damage model, which is a huge improvement of what they did in TGS and it's a huge improvement of what it's currently done in general racing simulators, if they can get the localized scratching and bending correctly.

@libellule

I can't say what enviroments look the best to me, since one or the other has some tracks that look better. While Forza 3 wins in the suzuka track, I still haven't seen a city track on Forza 3 that looks on par to what the London track accomplished on GT5:P

Also, while Forza 3 has a super Nurburgring track, it has a huge glitch in that some parts of the track the horizon is clipped and only shows a white rectangl. I took a picture of it, and will post it once i get a gold subscription.

The point is that, it depends on how you view each game and in what conditions. Most of the times, Forza 3 has superb enviroments, while GT5:p has the London track above all. We'll have to see and wait what GT5 will have to offer, but so far, that Tokyo R246 track enviroments looks on par to what Forza 3 enviroments have to offer.

Leave the boy alone after F3 sales failed to out do Prologue all he has left is old build vids to make him selfs feel better.  GT5 enviroments are far more realistic then F3s, hes just acting out casue GT5 is superior.
