Forums - Nintendo - Did Nintendo hang BattalionWarsII out to dry?

This is what is keeping Nintendo from putting the stake through the heart of the competition.

When I worked retail the home office dictated where and how many copies of things were put out in stores. Companies pay for that, they also give stand-ups posters coupons discounts bookmarks... you name it. I am sure most stores selling games are the same way. Sure they carry everything but years of sorting though a sideways stack of games on the bottom shelf for that new gamecube titles lets me know Nintendo doesn't do any of that. That is a mistake.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

Around the Network

All I know is that I will buy the game just for the online battles. Online gaming works better with my schedule because I only play for like 1 hour every other day and to get to a campain mode you need to invest alot of time.

However, I will admit that Metroid Prime 3 could have benefitted more from advertising. It was never a huge blockbuster, but it is a million-selling franchise.

I'm a bit confused, though. People say they haven\'t seen commercials for Prime 3? I have seen tons of them, as well as Mario Strikers Charged. I haven\'t seen a single Bioshock. Maybe Heavenly Sword when I was jumping through Spike TV.

@The_vagabond7

Doesn't Gamestop choose what games to advertise, just like they choose what games to stock?

I don't recall ever seeing a Mario Strikers commercial...but I did see the Bioshock commercial alllll the time around its release.  Good though, because it's a great game.

Mario Strikers was sponsering popular programs here in England, so I saw it advertised quite a bit.
