I have a feeling it doesn't matter that much anymore. Both the HD consoles are selling well. Both have awesome games out now and coming out in the future. Both are keeping me VERY VERY busy right now. I think there is room now in the market for both of these consoles. And I hate to sound cliche and hateful toward the Wii, but I don't really consider it to be in the same market, so I don't pay much attention to it.

It will definitely happen soon as the PS3 has big releases coming out in early 2010 such as God of War 3 and Final Fantasy 13 (which has a bundle) in Japan will definitely shift a few extra consoles.

Before Christmas. Then Christmas will catapult PS3 into space so 360 can never re-claim Others.

@theprof: You never know, he may need all lines in the chart. That is, if MS starts giving away free 360s in Others to prolong Playstation domination.

Ok so it (the ps3) is 8816176 behind the xbox 360, going by last weeks stats, (as they have been coming down for quite a couple of weeks since the slim was released. (the us ps3 vs Xbox charts) so now it is 8thousand... ok lets call it 9000 hmmm that is 979 weeks or 18.83 years... unlikely to happen bud...

See this is more possible at 79 weeks so 1 and a half years. This is where my theory comes in though. The PS3 WILL slow down, not question. Not even the most avid PS3 addict would disagree with that. This would in theory push the amount into 2 years. Not including anything else that would be a hell of an effort.
Thus i conclude for world wide not likely. Little things like the Natal may definitely get in the way of your prediction unfortunately. And between you and me, I think that Microsoft saw the PS3 slim coming a mile away, something is getting planned (dunno what) but something. So all in all I personally thing a sill prediction from yourself...
