All right this is what I think the story might be for the Deadspace series. Of course we know there is a story for Extraction and Deadspace but im referring the bigger story behind those two games and the movie downfall as well as the comics. For those who havent seen or read or played the deadspace series I suggest dont read any further unless you dont mind or you have. All kinds of input would be appreciated.

Overview/ Predictions of Deadspace 2
All right first we are dealing with two major areas. The Ishimura and Aegis 7 the planet. Captain Mathaius is the one in charge of the Ishimura and Colony Manager is Carthusia. Also you have Unitology their religion. Alot of the population within the Ishimura and Aegis 7 are followers of Unitology they all believe that the marker they uncovered is a holy relic a powerful symbol of their faith. Mathaius and Carthusia both beleive this Marker is to be shipped off and transported to earth for the church can study it. The church already has a marker back on earth. The one they discovered here is man-made according to the events that transpired in Deadspace towards the end. Kendra said it was reversed -engineered an experiment. Further proof of this is from DeadSpace extraction from Warren Eckharth (sp)near the end he sends a message to someone named "Enigma Lange" he states that the marker is geniune and its effect are disturbing however, the person he was searching for Lexine Murdoch she is immune to the markers effects just as "Enigma Lange" predicted. So Warren KNEW that its a test but he was ultimately killed by those monsters. Warren also shot Sargent Weller and also killed a Botanist Dr. Howell who was actually questioning him why he switched all the personel as soon as they found the marker. It was a variety a people at first who was working in the Ishimura once the Marker was found he switched the personel to unitiologist followers throughout the ship or at least the majority of them were followers.
Many people take this marker and what happens in the Ishimura and on the Colony differently. Dr. Mercer believes what was happening in the colony and on the Ishimura is God's will. Throught the time he tries to kill Issac and tell him to basically give in to them. He also kills Mr. Temple because its what God wants and Gods servants will come for the them but they have to die first. Gods serveants are those necromorphs and those things that fly and turn you into those things. Ultimately Dr. Mercer allows himself to become a necromorph. Only to be killed within seconds from Issac. Samuel Irons is a dedicated follower however he acknowledges the situation is dangerious and helps out Vincent and her team out but when these necomorphs get the best of him. Irons calls them "holy creatures" and alter his flesh so he can become their humble servant. -.-
Abbet (sp) lead a group of followers in the colony as soon as they discovered the marker. The Marker "talked" to them and Abbet preached and preached that the God will speak soon and he is helping them prepare them to transcend! When they extracted the Marker it gave some sort of noise/static or whatever throughout the colony and when that was happening Abbet was preaching to his group he was telling them that this is it! Prepare yourselves God is speaking! All in Union Abbet and 50 Unitology members killed them selves. Carthusia was pleased. Mathaius asked Carthusia to make sure the bodes are in tip-top condition and iced for they can be transported back to the church. The Unitology Church would like for you to donate your body to them. It really hasnt been explained as to why in any of the games or comics or video. In Deadspace it referred to something about the "transformation and rebirth" perhaps it will be explained in Deadspace2.
I can really go on and on but its just an overview of the deadspace series. This is my prediction of Deadspace 2. It will be discovered that the Unitology religion is a farce and its just an extensive plan to rule the human race using the marker that was found in Aegis 7. Only high top church officials know about this comprehensive plan. I believe Altman was murdered because he discovered that the marker had tremendous potential to destroy human life. The governmant AND the church I believe killed Altman and they just went ahead with this lie. Dr. Kyne figuered it out and he was killed by Kendra. He knew that this marker along with this alien race would eraticate human life. But whos plan was it?
