Amazing how they keep increasing their sales estimates. In the GC era they were always revising downwards. It looks like the Wii will surpass the GC five year total in only one and a half years.

 yeah...actually thanks for the link. The link does talk about them having double this holiday. It was during the NOA press conferance from George Harrison's mouth. Matt Casamassina was live blogging the event. He wrote:

9:17 a.m.: Been making more Wii systems. Demand continues to surprise Nintendo. Consumers will still have to "hustle" to find the system this year. Will have about two times the product they had last year.

 so, i guess that means they'll have to have 8-10 from here on out.

Fantastic, now we have ( historyc ) data for European market directly from Chart-Track / GFK / AC Nielsen !!!!

EDIT : WOW Nintendo sold about 2 milion Wii in the European market from January to September ! Great result if you consider that Nintendo console never had a huge popularity in the " old world ".
