It's an RPG. They are wearing weighty army and heavy weaponry, of course its going to be clunky. Thats quite a criticism which should've been obvious to the naked eye about now.

It's not a GOTY or get out thing at all. It's the fact you compared to uncomparable games. And RPG against and action adventure. The RPG has loads of other systems working when combat is in play more than just how much health a headshot takes off. You cant compare tham. Regardless of viewpoint and cover system. Thats why your getting hounded. |
Oh, and what is a comparable game then? I obviously can't compare the "shooting" in the game to another shooter. I will like to point out to people again that all I was doing was comparing the shooting of two games. Not the rest of the games. So maybe I should compare the shooting in ME to Dragon Age: Origins? Yes, it's much easier to compare the sword combat of that game to the gun combat in this game. But hey, at least both are RPGs. See, how clumbsy your half logic is? You only want it compared to other rpg's but no other RPG has a combat system like ME. And the shooting and cover was the only thing I was comparing. Regardless of if there was another game with a combat system like ME though. I'd have the same complaint. If they are going to have cover in their game, it shouldn't be as clunky as this. I only pointed at U2 and Gears as prime examples of what this game should be striving for.

You could compare it to something like Fallout 3 but comparing the shooting of an rpg to an actual shooter is stupid and has no relevance like we have all been trying to tell you but you keep ignoring. The shooting in ME depends on your stats and the character type you choose where as for U2 your a pro shooter from the start with every weapon. Basically what your asking is for ME to become a 3rd person shooter.
I don't understand why it is so hard for you to understand the clear differences between a action rpg and a 3rd person shooter

Yes that is a great vid. All those elements make a fine game.

So now it's more acceptable to compare a third person game to an FPS? Wow. Just wow. I guess I'm expecting too much from the internet. How in the hell am I going to compare the cover system and gameplay of ME2 which has third person shooting in it to an fps rpg? lmao. Guess I'm supose to imagine what a cover system in Fallout 3 would looks like and compare it. LMMFAO this is just too much. The funniest part is that I was talking about animations, movement, and mechanics of a shooting sequence and no one can understand just what the hell that means.

You clearly don't understand what an action rpg or "shooter" rpg is or lack the capacity to understand so I'm just going to stop arguing with you. The fact that you think the shooting mechanics should be the same for games like ME and GoW is like saying the driving mechanics for Mario Kart should be more like GT. Don't expect to make wrong statements and not get called out on it and then make a huge hissy fit over it.

My naked eye spotted the clunkyness when i went into cover. Not when running around in my fancy armor.

so if I wear really light armor in that game, carry pistols, and use implant powers instead, will the animation all of a sudden be not clunky? =P I don't wanna give you shit S.T.A.G.E., so stop bring it to my attention -_^b.

First Mass Effect kinda took me by suprise on how well I was gonna like it. This one looks to be better in every way.

Why do we have to argue guys.
And cmon, why the hell do some of u just notice small flaws that noone really cares about?
Face facts, u dont wanna miss it
