strikeforce has officially signed as the main "league" in the upcoming mma game so this game will have about 10 fighters you have heard of before.

As long as Fedor is in there, that's all that matters.
CBS/Strikeforce/EA
that's quite a force to mess with.
So as long as Strikeforce fighters aren`t the only ones featured in the game, I`m down. I like Strikeforce (Fedor vs. Brett Rogers tomorrow should be good) but there aren`t enough name fighters in that organization alone for a MMA game. I think this might be a Week 1 buy for me. Depends on whether EA is looking to make this an annual franchise or not. Fight Night games are not released every year so it`s not a big deal for me to wait for those (to hit the bargain bin). But usually by the time games like Madden and NHL hit the bargain bin, a new yearly version is out or at least on the way very soon. I didn`t wait for UFC 2009 Undisputed to drop in price because THQ announced that there will be a new one next year (I hate it when sports games are released every year. Unless they truly revamp the previous edition instead of just enhancing the gameplay and graphics a little and just giving us a roster update).
Yeah Randy Couture will be in it because he signed a contract with EA before THQ could sign him on to their UFC games. He`s not the big star that he used to be though. His career is on the way down after losing to Lesnar and Nogueira. I think they are going to push Fedor as the game`s main attraction. Unless he loses to Brett Rogers tomorrow. That would be a nightmare for Strikeforce and EA considering that Fedor is basically their big selling point (having the no. 1 heavyweight in the world).
I really don't think this game will sell
theres like 3 names in strikeforce. It would be like buying a UFL football game. No1 would.

lol
Strikeforce - Fedor Brett Werdum Arlovski Mayhem Gegard Babalu AfricanAssasin Shileds CungLee Shamrock (more then 3 names)
There also is
DreamFC
Sengoku
M1
Plenty places to grab fighters from.
Alot of those guys fought for UFC and are quite well known.
The game will sell well enough. If Ea is smart yhey will pull the best fighters form each country and make country specific covers like Fifa does in Europe.
Yes they could very well mess this up, but the potential there is freaking huge to far surpass UFC Undisputed.
i dunno im a pretty big mma fan but i still dont know a lot of fighters in strikeforce, like i know the super popular ones but i dont barely any of strikeforce fighters hit the huge mainstream.
also @ splooge - i hate brock lesnar but i deffinatly think he could beat fedor, not easily but hes just too big a beast
This game doesn`t have the same name value and it won`t outsell THQ`s UFC games but I think the EA Sports brand will do a lot to help this game. I don`t think this is a game that only hardcore MMA fans are going to buy. With EA`s marketing machine, I predict that they will still do a good job with casual mma fans and people who don`t know much about MMA. I predict that demographic is going to buy more copies than the hardcore MMA demographic. If only Strikeforce, Dream, Sengoku and Pride (R.I.P) fans bought the game, the sales would be horrible. I`m sure it`ll capture a good chunk of the uninitiated.

I don't count the loss to lesnar an actual loss. I mean come on, he's like 70 points over him.
