Only 2 million in NA, maybe first month sure but life time is a joke.

What is it thats most of you dont get, GT4 having online cut destroyed GT4 sales in NA.  GT4 was destened to do as well if not better then GT3 but NA was in its online craze and passed it over once online was officialy cut.

PS2 did not make Gt a 10 million seller.  Gt was there before it.

No it definitly won't outsell GT5P. Remember GT5P has 1 million Digital download sales on top of the retail numbers. Also for people saying GT5 won't sell millions like the rest of the series. If a demo version of the game can sell 4.2 million copies and it released at a time when the PS3 install base was a lot lower. Then expect GT5 to sell milliions more. I'm a big GT fan but I held off on GT5P because it was just a demo. How many others out there have done the same

What people outside europe doesn't understand is the appeal of certain games have in the "old continent", it's not unusual for an american to be somewhat ill informed of the global parameters of Europe.
Yes, it's true that most people in here are waiting for GT5 release, yet, the same can be said for most PS3 gamers in NA as well.

What I don't get is this, why does a game, which did 10M+ in almost all of it's iterations, and even did 15M+ on the PS2, on the early years of the PS2, when it still didn't had those monstrous sales numbers, can't do as well on the PS3?
Are you trying too hard to see ways for GT5 to fail? True, it can fail, as any game can, but it will be very difficult for that scenario to happen. GT5 has the same appeal and expectation that GT3 had, so it can just as well fail or sell on par as GT3 did.

Of course, some online lovers are also on PS3 !

I really don't see GT fans on wii, and Froza3s lack of sales have shows that MS faield to bring them into their fold.  They are waiting for GT5, these mass market people have yet to buy a PS3.  Wanna know when they will, when GT5 comes out.  Alot of people on the car forums iam on are waiting for GT5 to buy a PS3, prologue was not enough.  These are usualy casual gamers that go nut case hardcore when playing GT.

I think it will do record numebrs based on quality, 10million well yahh its GT but above that it needs to be something special.  GT3 was that it was the first Gt and those pretty PS2 graphics ahh man that was something special right there.  HD gaphics better physics real damage real wrc.... ahh man......

GT is the reason to be on that boat.

It may not be the most hyped game of the year but IMO it is one of the most hyped sim for even Inside Sim Racing gave it high scores. They did comment it had it's flaws yet didn't tell exactly what they were . Well I finally  played FM3 to realized one of those flaws was it's braking physics. Without any assist on,  cars brake as if it still had ABS brakes. IMO this seriously hurt the game as being a sim as all the cars brake pretty much the same as if all cars had the same weight. If you slam on the brakes in the corner it goes straight just the same as slam on brakes down the straightaway. Also You have way too much grip when you hit the dirt.

So as far as a sim I still think GT5P is  a lot better than Forza 3 even though GT5P has it's flaws which needed to be worked out, hopely for Gt5. (in GT5P I can feel the weight of Ford Gt500, especially when braking,  than I can in FM3) Yet as far as a game FM3 clearly wins over GT5P.
