Woah there.  I'd agree that Turn 10 spoke poorly publicly, giving in to stupid bravado, but the title ain't that bad.  It's a good game, and well made.  It's not 'gonna get amazing sales without bundles (probably) but really Turn 10 are in the same position as Guerrilla on the PS3 and others, producing games on a console that has the weaker demographic for that game.

Hopefully 360 fans who would knock something like KZ2 will see this and understand the challenge trying to produce great games and realise the sales a competitive title on a different console can have, and vice versa PS3 owners should see Turn 10 and Forza 3 in the same light.

Not send to die - but with the odds stacked against them and lots of people ready to point the finger and go, Killzone 2 sold poorly next to Halo 3, it must be rubbish, or Forza 3 can barely equal a prologue with a fraction of the cars, tracks and features, it must be rubbish.

lol, I will also add (to correct me) that there is a FM3 bundle in france but it is only
"elite+paddle+Halo3+FM3" 279 euro
so it is not the official "super elite FM3 bundle" that is bit better ...

and to complete my comment, it is funny how MS are focusing on their main country install base : MS is going total MW2 crazy. IMO that will not do much outside NA and UK. For me it is an error from MS. They should focus more on Europe and stop the "MW2 ultimate online experience"

Always remember, most of the PS2 userbase is not used to play online, same goes for the Wii userbase.

and most of the "online gamer" have money and have already bought a PS3 or a 360 or a PC (me) ...

halo 3 vs killzone 2 is a poor comparison imo. Some preferred one some preffered the other. The thing is though that Forza is out, 400k in a week is not "poor sales" as some have said. It may catch prologue, GT5 though with the budget apparently 60mill or something better bloody hope they produce a great game and it sells gang busters.

For the quality of the game im guessing word of mouth is going to be a BIG thing around the world, Forza is getting given away with every 360 console in Australia, even the halo bundle for example, and they might continue to do that when the mw2 bundle comes out.

Word of mouth is much much more likely to sell a game that is not as known as a bigger racer for example (GT5) or a shooter (Halo 3 for the shooter).

Fair enough, basically saying that with a game that has not done well in sales, thus not gained a great supporter base, ie forza 3, needs word of mouth thus, first 2 weeks of sales means bollox, it is a question on how long it can last, i think we may see this game last a bit on the top 50 imo.

In Australia (it may have happened else where but im sticking to this) GT:P was bundled, no doubt GT5 will be to, just trying to compare that they (gt:p and forza 3) have been bundled so people dont use the excuse for either :)

But were any of them in "you get the game for free" bundles, because those are the ones which shouldn't be included.

Yes we should forget the past and aim for a brighter future.
GT5 will not perform AS good but BETTER.

in france, each time there is a bundle is follow the same trend (really !)

360 : u get the game for free (same price)

ps3 : you pay a little more than the free sku (u get the game for 40 euros)

for GT5 prologue, since the game was already at 40 euros, I m wondering if it was not actually free ...
