It's kinda hard for me to take IGN's scores seriously anymore.

If GTAIV's and MGS4 10/10 wasn't bad and bullshit enough they go and give R2 9.5

just because they haven't scored PS3's biggest games with a 10 doesn't mean you shouldn't take them seriously. 360's biggest games had "average" 9.5 scores also.

Uh, that's exacly the problem. They hand out 9.5's like candy. PS3's biggest games don't deserve a 10. I can't really think of any game that does.

Reviewers like IGN are breaking the basic 1/10 scoring system. It seems that 8.8-9.5 is the new average. When a good game finally does come along, there's barely enough room to score it higher, and this becomes obvious when you get reviewers that bust out with "hurr hurr, we'd give it an 11/10 if we could!."

The problem then is that other reviewers have to go along with it. If a reviewer was to give something like Halo3/ MGS4 an 8 because they felt that an 8 represents an extremely amazing AAA-quality game, all the fanboys would jump on them in an instant and accuse the site of doing it for hits.

The only undeserving games you both posted were R2 and GTAIV.  MGS4 is a 10/10, KZ2 is maybe a few tenths worse but still a 9.0+, and Uncharted 2 is very deserving of it's score.

What's youre problem, or are you just that anti SONY?  If you are, stop giving your 2 cents..cuz we don't want it.  That's like me saying Gears doesn't deserve it's score...I hate the game, but I think it still deserves the score it got for the type of game they were trying to make and to the fans who loved it.

MW:2 looks like a massive upgrade over MW, I don't know if you've been paying attention or just crying without knowing anything about the game except for it's name.  Go watch a few videos or posts on the new features.  I can't say it's a 9.5 at this point, but when I'm playing it after picking it up tomorrow, I'll be sure to come on and confirm that you're upset over something you know nothing about. 

It's IGN, it will get a 10 because of the hype.

Unless it was a nintendo game, then it would get and 8.5 for being a sequel.
