 Thanks, Will put that in the list in the evening. Japan is so empty, because IGN has not much game in the list. As requested I will make this list as 4 week list a regulary from know on. Have no hard time to give me release dates if I missed some.

Don't know beating Wii Sports in Japan will be hard. I would say Wii Fit< Wii sports. It is cheaper, and I think everybody that buy Wii Fit, will buy Wii sports but not the other way arround.

 Just_Ben, you could be correct. I believe that there will be about 2 million sold with just Wii Fit over the next 2-3 years. We'll just have to wait and see.

Great article Just_Ben - thanks for that compilation.

Its surprising how flat the Japan release schedule is (now fixed, with missed titles) - the US & Europe is getting a flood of titles, starting now.

And that still ignores a bunch of smaller titles also hitting.

Wii Sports > WiiFit. Many people who buy WiiFit will also grab WiiSports as the ultimate "casual" game.

Its easy to under-estimate the impact of WiiSports. I honestly think it may become of the most significant software releases - ever. The sequel when/if it hits, will be one of the biggest releases ever.

People hassle it for being a pack-in. But what they don't realise, is that its the classic system seller - people are literally buying a Wii *just* to play Wii Sports. The attach rate and sales of WiiSports in Japan show this.

 I think it is much bigger, but IGN doesn't have much Japanese releae dates. And I don't know the Japanese game market well enought to decide whats big and whats not. Maybe somebody can help me there.

Just Ben, if it fits I would like you to add the amount of weeks the software is in the chart for the American part.

About European software charts, there are no numbers but http://www.charttrack.co.uk/ has software rankings for The UK, Ireland and Denmark. On next-gen.biz they usually post software top 10s for Spain and Germany, but no Wii specific top 10s. I think Australian charts are also available, but I don't have the link for you. I'm not sure if you can do too much with all these charts though.

Thanks for the link koffieboon. I will try to add the number of weeks in the charts for america and japan next time. I know I don't get numbers for Others, but at least I want to put some #together (aka Game x debut on XX in YY)

Is Opoona a big enough release to add on for Japan? I know I am looking forward to it.



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt
